Hello Carthay Families!

Attached you will find supply lists for the upcoming school year by grade level. Please take a moment to review the supply list for your child's grade. With limited resources, it is highly encouraged that parents purchase what they can from the list to ensure their child has the supplemental materials needed in the classroom. Thank you for your support!!

The official Ribbon Cutting for our Outdoor Classroom, financed by an LAUSD Community School Park program, was held at the Outdoor Classroom on Friday at 10am, March 18. See LAUSD Press Release HERE.

The Outdoor Classroom will enable students to learn some of their Garden Science lessons in a natural environment, with a seating area as well as a variety of learning opportunities such as a bioswale (which filters rainwater and distributes it into the water table rather than flushing the water directly into the ocean) and a weather station (not yet installed).

The Outdoor Classroom will also be available for seating and community events as part of the Carthay Sunday Playground. The Carthay Sunday Playground is open every Sunday from 11am-4pm.
