Dear Students and Families,
My name is Sonia Rico and this is my fifth year teaching at Carthay. I have taught Kindergarten, First, and Second grades as well as covering grades K-5 as a substitute teacher. I have a bachelor’s degree in Health Science Education from Cal State University Northridge and a Multiple Subject credential from Mount St.Mary’s University. I am also a mom to Eva, 13, and Sebastian, 10, who attend GALA and Carthay and will be starting Eighth and Fifth grade in the fall. I am looking forward to having a great time and learning with your child this school year!
